ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Non‐involuting congenital hemangiomas ( NICH ) are fully formed vascular tumors at birth, with a distinctive clinical, radiologic, and histopathological profile, classically lack expansion or involution over time. We describe series of cases atypical postnatal growth. Methods The authors retrospectively analyzed all diagnosed from 2007 to 2017. reviewed charts photographic databases our Vascular Anomalies Clinic. included in the study an Clinical data, imaging, histopathology were analyzed. Results Eighty identified. Nine presented growth after stable period, ages 2 10 years (mean: 5.3 years). Two patients had associated pain; 5 showed new red papules on surface lesion; reported bleeding papules; 1 developed pyogenic granuloma. All Doppler ultrasound and/or MRI compatible , confirmatory biopsy was performed 4 cases. In treatment, received endovascular embolization, one required further surgery. Conclusions may develop significant time (10% series), requiring closer follow‐up for longer periods. development papules, granulomas, superficial be observed.
