ABSTRACT
Abstract Background To evaluate the correlation of physical examination, and radiological pathological findings children adolescents with breast‐related complaints. Methods Children breast complaints between January 2016 December 2019 were analyzed retrospectively. Results A total 118 adolescent patients included. Their ages ranged from 12 to 18 years (median, 16 years). Twenty‐one had a family history cancer (17.8%). The most common pain, mass, nipple discharge. Physical examination revealed mass (41.5%), tenderness (11%), fullness (8.5%). Thirty‐nine classified ultrasonographically Breast Imaging Reporting Data System (BIRADS) 3 (39.4%) four BIRADS 4 (4%). Excision was applied all 4, 13 39 3. Pathological diagnoses fibroadenoma ( n : 12, 92.3%) benign phyllodes tumor 1, 7.7%). In three fiboradenomas one patient tumor. No recurrence observed in any who an excision. Only six positive lesions, others 1. recommended two fibroadenoma. Conclusion this age group, pain while normal nearly half patients. All benign. While evaluating range, experience clinician radiologist is important we think that it necessary increase awareness about physiological development self‐breast examination.
