ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Liver transplantation (LT) has been accepted as a standard treatment of pediatric liver diseases that can progress to end‐stage disease or lead acute failure. However, there is lack studies clarifying quality life (QoL) and the characteristics prevalence common psychiatric disorders in children before and/or after LT. Thus, this study aimed investigate QoL anxiety, depression, post‐traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) adolescents LT compare them with healthy controls. Methods The included 30 aged 5‐18 years who were waiting for (pTx group) had undergone (Tx groups 20 control group. PedsQL was used evaluate QoL, SCARED, CDI, CPTSD‐RI psychopathology. Results scores higher group compared all most dimensions, depending on reporter. mean PTSD significantly lower than those Tx pTx groups. A significant positive correlation found between scores, negative observed QoL. Conclusion Waiting process itself seem be psychologically traumatic children. Healthcare providers need trained recognize symptoms main disorders.
