ABSTRACT
Abstract Objective To determine compliance with North Dakota's smoke‐free law in vape shops and other tobacco specialty selling electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) or e‐liquids. Design In this 2019 descriptive study, ( n = 35) were assessed for the by observation of indoor outdoor areas smoking vaping, evidence such activity prohibited areas, presence required no‐smoking signs. Results Only two (5.7%) fully compliant law. Full environments was 8.5% 42.8%, respectively. Vaping occurred inside five (14.3%), outdoors within shops. Four (11.4%) 17 (48.6%) complied signage requirements, Conclusions Overall remained low, although much noncompliance related to signage. Use ENDS use both indoors where Classifying as products would require licensure e‐liquids, aiding identification education enforcement efforts ensure improve public health protection.
