ABSTRACT
Fluorescence-advanced videodermatoscopy (FAV) is a new non-invasive high-resolution skin imaging technique to assess pigmented lesions in conjunction with the clinical examination and dermatoscopy. This first prospective study identify morphologic descriptors standardized terminology examine facial using FAV. The objectives were FAV indicators, which can assist physicians diagnosing suspicious flat lesions.Consecutive equivocal retrospective analysed. Histopathological was performed for all lesions. main cytomorphological cytoarchitectural features described correlated histopathological characteristics. From January October 2020, 21 consecutive clinically suspected 20 patients analysed dermatoscopy then surgically excised. identified lentigo maligna (LM), melanoma (LMM), solar (SL), seborrheic keratosis (SK) actinic (PAK). Thirteen malignant melanocytic removed (11 LM, 2 LMM), two diagnosed as PAK, remaining six SL-SKs. With FAV, large ovoid pleomorphic dendritic cells arranged intrafollicular disposition, are typical of most (12/13, 92.3%). No benign displayed these features. In dermatoscopy, this folliculotropism corresponded presence an annular-granular pattern slate grey dots that aggregated asymmetrically around follicular openings.FAV provide improved diagnostic approach differential diagnosis
