ABSTRACT
We report a case of microsecretory adenocarcinoma the hard palate. The patient is 37‐year‐old woman with 15 mm submucosal tumor, which was incidentally found by her primary care dentist, in Preoperative magnetic resonance imaging revealed tumor exhibiting high signal on T2‐weighted image, gradually enhanced dynamic study. Histologically, border ill‐defined without fibrous capsule and adjoined minor salivary gland permeative infiltration at periphery. comprised intercalated duct‐like cells polygonal narrow eosinophilic to clear cytoplasm small, uniform oval nuclei. These formed small infiltrative microcysts, tubules fascicular cords collecting pale basophilic secretions vacuoles setting an abundant fibromyxoid stroma. were positive for CK AE1+AE3, S‐100 protein, p63, while are completely negative p40, alpha‐SMA, calponin. MEF2C‐SS18 fusion identified reverse transcriptase‐polymerase chain reaction followed Sanger sequencing. combination characteristic histology, immunophenotype, presence indicated diagnosis palate, entity described only recently. Post‐operative course uneventful there no evidence disease 4 months after surgery.
