ABSTRACT
Objective. Recent studies support the efficacy of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with people chronic pain. In addition, Selective Optimization Compensation strategies (SOC) can help elderly pain to accept their condition increase functional autonomy. Our aim was analyze an ACT treatment program combined training in SOC for living nursing homes. Methods. 101 participants (mean age = 82.26; SD 10.00; 78.6% female) were randomized intervention (ACT-SOC) or a minimal group (MS). Complete data are available 53 (ACT-SOC: n 27; MS: 26). Assessments performance, intensity, acceptance, strategies, emotional well being catastrophizing beliefs done preintervention postintervention. Results.
