ABSTRACT
Abstract This study examines whether performance information affects the political agenda. I offer and test two hypotheses on in politics—the attention‐allocation hypothesis, suggesting that politicians leverage data to devote attention problems service delivery, politicization stating concerns alter elected officials focus information. examine by gathering administrative pupils' standardized scores combined with more than 6000 min of meetings Danish municipal school committees, which two‐way fixed effects models. The results show shortfalls receive attention, regardless environment.
