ABSTRACT
Summary In education studies value added is by and large defined in terms of a test score distribution mean. Therefore, all except particular summary the ignored. Motivated part current debate surrounding recent proposal eliminating co-payment institutions Chile's reform, we new based on quantiles distribution. Further, show quantile-based can be estimated within quantile mixed model regression framework. We apply methodology to Chilean standardized data explore how garnered facilitates comparisons between public schools those are subsidized with without co-payments.
