ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT The objective was to assess the oral health status, treatment needed, and type of dental services access intellectually disabled (ID) subjects in Teresina, Brazil. sample consisted 103 ID matriculated centers for special needs people siblings. Results were analyzed using paired t ‐test, chi‐square test, odds ratio. had fair (63.1%; p < .001) their siblings a good hygiene (n = [55.3%]; .005). more decayed (3.52; .005), missing teeth (1.17; .001), fewer restorations (1.67; .012) greater need tooth extraction (21.4%; .002) than Thirty percent never received difficulty accessing public services. Their were, therefore, higher non‐ID subjects. unsatisfactory, thus it is important implement educational promotion inclusion policies with ID.
