ABSTRACT
Beta2-microglobulin, a novel marker of kidney function, predicts failure and mortality in the general population. However, few studies have evaluated association serum β2-MG level with clinical outcome maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. This prospective cohort study enrolled 303 MHD patients to investigate factors related its relationship patients. Multivariate linear regression analysis was used examine level. Multivariable Cox calculate hazard ratios for on all-cause cardiovascular mortality. The median value 44.6 mg/L (interquartile range 37.60-50.40 mg/L). During follow-up period 24 months, there were 48 deaths (23.0%), including 36 causes (75.0% all deaths). Multiple showed that dialysis duration, creatinine, alkaline phosphatase independent predictors Kaplan-Meier revealed significantly higher low albumin > mg/L. significant predictor (HR = 1.122, 95% CI: 1.058-1.190, 푃 < 0.001) 1.145, 95%CI: 1.065-1.123, P after adjusting confounding factors. our results not associated normal level. These are supportive potential role as albumin.
