The prevalence and severity of health problems in youth elite sports: A 6‐month prospective cohort study of 320 athletes

ABSTRACT
Little is known regarding the overall health of youth elite athletes. Our aim was to describe prevalence and severity problems in a cohort athletes representing variety endurance, team, technical sports. Elite sport (N = 260, 16.2 years) from different Sport Academy High Schools Norway, group their teammates 60, 16.4 attending regular high schools, were included study. The Oslo Sports Trauma Research Centre ( OSTRC ) questionnaire on used self‐report injuries illnesses for 26 weeks. Endurance reported more (23% [15%‐35%]) than (10% [5%‐20%] 8% [4%‐14%]).
