Assessment of hair surface roughness using quantitative image analysis

Focus on the hair and cuticle is increasing. The first layer to be exposed damage area of primary protection. For such reasons, product manufacturers consider protection important. However, previous studies used only visual assessment examine cuticle. This study aimed obtain changes in cuticles measure roughness using a HIROX microscope.A total 23 female subjects same products daily for 4 weeks. Three samples per subject were collected from three different areas head. Measurements taken before after weeks use.The surface clearly observed captured images. Moreover, was various parameters software. After use, parameter value significantly decreased.Our result suggests that analytical method can new paradigm high-quality quantitative analysis
