ABSTRACT
Abstract Background COVID‐19 is a serious respiratory disease, and wearing masks has become essential in daily life. Nevertheless, the number of people complaining skin problems caused by increasing. Therefore, we investigated characteristics changes sensitive mask. Materials methods Twenty healthy Korean women with participated this study. To determine any skin‐related mask‐wearing, evaluated redness, hydration, transepidermal water loss (TEWL), moisture at 2.5 mm below surface before 4 h after Korea Filter 94 In addition, tested whether applying moisturizer for 30 min mask removal could reverse mask‐induced changes. Results Skin redness TEWL were significantly increased ( p < 0.05), otherwise hydration decreased 0.05). After moisturizer, compared to their values whereas Moreover, reduced pre‐masking baseline was 0.05); showed no significant change. Conclusion We observed that causes physiological skin, removing improved conditions.
