ABSTRACT
It was well known that the human body would produce an uncomfortable sensation when fabric exerted a certain amount of pressure irritation on skin. The amygdala had long been thought to be source negative emotion perception. However, up now, brain signal changes in evoked by skin exposure not known. In this work, series gradually increasing contact stimulus from boneless corsets repeatedly applied body's waist and abdomen, technology functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) adopted detect response synchronously. The results shown both subjective comfort score percent (PSCs) decreased with increase pressure. When abdomen exceeded about 1 kPa, blood oxygen level dependent negatively activated. Besides, degree PSCs intense than evaluation, standard deviations between individuals were much smaller evaluations. It suggested caused attention area. greater stimulus, higher attention, but such activation induced discomfort. In addition, representation based perception superior due its sensitivity antipsychological interference ability.
