ABSTRACT
Abstract Background The mechanism of intense pulsed light action on the skin is based selective photothermolysis. delivered to tissue scattered and absorbed by chromophores that absorb a beam radiation specific length. reflectance changes depending physiological state tissue, as shown hyperspectral camera. aim study was assess acne before after (IPL) therapy compare it with healthy skin. Materials methods involved 27 volunteers diagnosed moderate acne. control group consisted 20 people without lesions. All underwent series four treatments using IPL at weekly intervals. lesions were photographed week 4th treatment. Results Acne shows lower than characterized higher compared resembles group. A statistically significant difference found between Conclusions effect increase its reducing number chromophores, which brings closer value Hyperspectral imaging allows for: evaluation treated each stage, precise selection wavelength problem, therefore, for optimizing irradiations increasing safety therapy.
