ABSTRACT
Camelina sativa is currently being embraced as a viable industrial bio-platform crop due to number of desirable agronomic attributes and the unique fatty acid profile seed oil that has applications for food, feed biofuel. The recent completion reference genome sequence C. identified young hexaploid genome. To complement this work, we have generated genome-wide developmental transcriptome map by RNA sequencing 12 different tissues covering major stages during life cycle sativa. We digital atlas comprehensive resource enables interactive visualization expression data through searchable database electronic fluorescent pictographs (eFP browser). An analysis dataset supported 88% annotated genes in provided global overview complex architecture temporal spatial gene patterns active development. Conventional differential combined with weighted network uncovered similarities well differences between tissue-specific modules. A high-quality census transcription factors, alternative splicing dominance insight into transcriptional dynamics sub-genome interplay among well-preserved triplicated repertoire homeologous loci. combination provides powerful genomics research which can be leveraged identify functional associations understand regulatory networks underlying processes.
