ABSTRACT
Plants are considered an important food and nutrition source for humans. Despite advances in plant seed metabolomics, knowledge about the genetic molecular bases of rice metabolomes at different developmental stages is still limited. Here, using Zhenshan 97 (ZS97) Minghui 63 (MH63), we performed a widely targeted metabolic profiling seeds during grain filling, mature germinating seeds. The diversity between MH63 ZS97 was characterized terms content metabolites shifting across stages. Taking advantage ultra-high-density map population 210 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) derived from cross MH63, identified 4681 putative quantitative trait loci (mQTLs) three Further analysis mQTLs codetected revealed that regulation metabolite accumulation closely related to stage. Using silico analyses, 35 candidate genes responsible 30 structurally or annotated compounds, among which LOC_Os07g04970 LOC_Os06g03990 were be feruloylserotonin l-asparagine variation populations, respectively. Metabolite-agronomic association colocation phenotypic (pQTLs) complexity metabolite-agronomic relationship corresponding basis.
