ABSTRACT
SUMMARY The sugar status of a plant acts as signal affecting growth and development. phenomenon by which high levels sugars inhibit seedling establishment has been widely used to gain insight into sugar‐signaling pathways. Natural allelic variation identified at the ANAC060 locus. Arabidopsis Columbia ecotype produces short protein without transmembrane domain that is constitutively located nucleus, causing insensitivity when overexpressed. In this study, we generated genome‐wide DNA‐binding map via chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing using transgenic lines express functional ANAC060–GFP fusion in an anac060 background. A total 3282 genes associated with ANAC060‐binding sites were identified. These enriched biotic abiotic stress responses, G‐box binding motif was highly ANAC060‐bound genomic regions. Expression microarray analysis resulted identification 8350 whose activities altered mutant upon treatment. Cluster revealed attenuates sugar‐regulated gene expression. Direct target included equivalent numbers upregulated or downregulated . various functions these indicate several functions. Our results demonstrate directly binds promoter ABI5 represses sugar‐induced transcription Genetic data epistatic both abscisic acid responses.
