ABSTRACT
A level of redundancy and interplay among the transcriptional regulators floral development safeguards a plant's reproductive success ensures crop production. In present study, an additional layer complexity in regulation meristem (FM) identity flower is elucidated linking carotenoid biosynthesis metabolism to determinate flowering. The accumulation subsequent cleavage diverse array ζ-carotenes chloroplast biogenesis 5 (clb5) mutant Arabidopsis results reprogramming meristematic gene regulatory networks establishing FM mirroring that master regulator, APETALA1 (AP1). immediate transition clb5 requires long photoperiods GIGANTEA-independent manner, whereas AP1 essential for organ clb5. elucidation this link between translates tomato exposing redundant initiated by proposed be dependent on E class initiation SEPALLATA3 (SEP3).
