ABSTRACT
BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to understand Australian donorsʼ and nondonorsʼ orientations toward 13 noncash incentives for blood plasma donation the associations between intention donate (nondonors) subsequent (donors). STUDY DESIGN AND METHODS A survey 1028 donors 1201 nondonors conducted online by telephone. Donors were randomly selected from Red Cross Lifeblood donor panel; generated fixed line mobile telephone numbers across Australia. Incentives chosen reflect a wide array possible that might be introduced organizations (BDOs). Differences nondonors, as well other subgroups, investigated. RESULTS Orientations most types positive or neutral. No significant differences observed incentive whole versus donations. Many subgroup small but statistically significant. There mostly small, positive, incentives; there no behaviors. CONCLUSION findings suggest BDOs wish trial in voluntary nonremunerative systems can confident neither nor potential will react negatively. They also indicate have some flexibility deciding which trial.
