ABSTRACT
Understanding the experiences and perceptions of new plasma donors is important for developing strategies to retain them. This qualitative study focuses on donors' with donation, factors that influence their interest in donating again thoughts about establishing a regular donation routine. We conducted 48 one-on-one semi-structured interviews used reflexive thematic analysis relational approach analyse these data. For this study, returning donate was facilitated by care, where were cared attentive staff, felt they could care others donating. Their helping through ongoing influenced relationships people who have benefited from blood products or experienced illnesses associated plasma-derived medicines, as well sense social responsibility community belonging. The most prevalent deterrent experience feeling unwell during after donation. practice staff members can mitigate fallout negative experience. Retention requires flexibility ensure easy, convenient does not negatively impact health ability network. Investigating retention decisions lens provides insight help collection agencies develop more effective non-remunerated settings.
