ABSTRACT
As a fundamental study for direct contact type of lead-bismuth-cooled fast reactor (PBWFR), the method gamma-ray radiography was applied to visualization nitrogen bubbles in lead-bismuth eutectic (LBE) vertical square duct with inner size 10×10×73.3 mm3. Nitrogen gas injected from bottom nozzle diameter 3mm at flow rate 0.13 0.40NL/min. γ–ray source, 60Co 11TBq used, and multi-crystal Gd2O2S (Tb) scintillator employed detection γ–ray. The bubble behavior visualized successfully by means this method. Void fraction distributions were obtained processing images, length rising velocity determined result. There some unstable depending on injection rate.
