ABSTRACT
A systematic approach, referred to as function-oriented material design (FOMD), is presented in this paper, which can be used materials for the specific tasks demanded of structures future ground vehicle systems. In order carry out FOMD process, first functions a structure system need explicitly defined way. Then these must quantified, so define objective and constraint optimization process. Finally, an advanced process needs carried out, layout has finalized by engineer. Typically number constraints, such manufacturing cost considered optimal major research outline well find ways ameliorate produce improved, cost-effective, manufacturable engineered materials.
