ABSTRACT
Mode division multiplexing (MDM) technology enables multiple data signals to be transmitted over the same fiber channel, which is a potential method for increasing capacity of optical communication systems. Primary impaired factor mode-dependent loss (MDL) poses fundamental limitations, increases hardware complexity receiver, and decreases performance MIMO algorithm. In this work, alternating direction multipliers with threshold (ADMM-T) detection algorithm proposed MDL-impaired links by exploiting SINR distribution minimum mean square error (MMSE) (ADMM). Since post-processing MMSE has high reliability in symbols, detected symbols above pre-defined thresholds are retained as part final result remaining lower-SINR iteratively ADMM after successive interference cancellation (SIC). Computational can reduced reserving solution MMSE. Simulation results demonstrate that ADMM-T outperforms MMSE, ADMM, some recently algorithms. Meanwhile, computational lower than other
