The Segmented Telescope Control Software (STCS) uses science camera information to align and phase a deployable segmented optical telescope. It was developed the for Next Generation Space (NGST) has been successfully utilized on Wavefront Testbed (WCT) NGST portable retrieval (PPRC) system. software provides an operating environment that will be used prime contractor's testbeds NGST, eventually evolve into Sensing (WFS&C) ground support NGST. This paper describes engineering version of STCS, algorithms it incorporates, methods communicating with testbed hardware.
