ABSTRACT
Over the past ten years, electromagnetic terahertz (THz) frequencies region from 100 GHz to 10 THz (or wavelengths of 30 μm ~3 mm) have received extensive attention and investigation. Terahertz wave detection enables direct calculations both imaginary real parts refractive index without using Kramers-Kronig relations. There are many potential applications such as radio astronomy, atmospheric studies, remote sensing, plasma diagnostics. Shoes, neckties sofa, etc mainly made skin animal, imitated artificial leather. It has important practical value component analysis quality assessment by measuring absorption, index, other optical parameters. In this paper, spectral characteristics sheepskin, sheepskin leather been measured with time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) in range 0.1~2.0THz. The results show that there not absorption peak spectrum sheepskin. However, it is found three peaks at frequency 1.13THz, 1.21THz, 1.36THz, respectively. application also discussed.
