ABSTRACT
In this talk, the human vocal folds are modeled and simulated using a fully-coupled fluid-structure interaction method. This numerical approach is efficient in simulating fluid deformable structure interactions. The two domains fully coupled an interpolation scheme without expensive mesh updating or re-meshing. method has been validated through rigorous convergence accuracy tests. response of affects elastic deformation vice versa. goal study to utilize tool examine entire system predict motion by providing constant inlet outlet pressures. input parameters material properties, i.e., density used model, physiological. our results, glottal jet can be clearly identified; corresponding pressure field distribution velocity presented.
