ABSTRACT
Auralizations and other computer model studies were used to predict qualitative quantitative measures of speech intelligibility in classrooms under realistic conditions background noise reverberation. Speech tests given college students two one racquetball court at 5 signal-to-noise ratios. the made from computer. then administered a sound booth using auralized material. Fifteen different acoustical measurements related also multiple locations actual models classrooms. The scores on rooms five closely duplicated equivalent conducted simulated signals obtained models. Both accurately predicted Correlations (R2) between full size 0.92 0.99 found.
