ABSTRACT
This paper presents an analysis of a model for the propagation waves in poroelastic solid saturated by three-phase viscous, compressible fluid. The constitutive relations and equations motion are stated first. Then plane wave determines phase velocities attenuation coefficients four compressional one shear that propagate this type medium. A procedure to compute elastic constants is defined next. Assuming knowledge modulus dry matrix, other stress-strain determined employing ideal gedanken experiments generalizing those Biot's theory single-phase fluids. These yield expressions terms properties individual fluids phases. Finally all computed sample Berea sandstone oil, gas, water.
