ABSTRACT
Soundscape research draws on both experiments conducted in laboratory settings and studies the field to explore peoples' perception understanding of their acoustic environments. One opportunity combine strength approaches is so-called Experience Sampling Method (ESM). This method was used investigate influence situational person-related variables soundscape evaluations. Further, relationship between momentary retrospective judgments explored. In course 7-day ESM study, 32 participants were prompted ten times per day by a smartphone application evaluate report factors. Additionally, they performed summary evaluating whole each week. Upon completion, an exit interview probed personality traits (e.g., Big Five, information processing styles). Results revealed that factors significantly contributed three dimensions (pleasantness, eventfulness, familiarity). Retrospective pleasantness not only average judgments, but also affected peak moment, linear trend experience, person's mood while performing judgment. Hence, study provides valuable insights into complex structure
