ABSTRACT
To compare the effects of single- versus dual-task balance training on gait smoothness and community-dwelling older adults, 69 volunteers were randomized to single-, training, control (no intervention) groups. Exercises received in 18 sessions through 6 weeks. The was measured by harmonic ratio trunk accelerations using a triaxial accelerometer. Balance performance assessed Fullerton Advanced scale, Timed Up Go test, Activities-specific Confidence, speed. After trial, all variables improved significantly Moreover, differences mean change variables, except statistically significant between interventional groups group, but no difference reported two This study suggests that can improve as well status healthy adults.
