Professional Playing Experience Does Not Lead to Professional Coaching Success

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between coaches’ professional playing experience and their coaching success. sample ( n = 134) included coaches who had equivalent three full seasons head in either Major League Baseball (MLB) 46), National Basketball Association (NBA) 38) or Football (NFL) 50) as determined by total number games coached years 1997-2007.
