ABSTRACT
Although some elements of community sport organizations (CSOs) are welcoming and shared across all members, others may be contested. Organizational culture provides a conceptual lens through which to understand the meaning experiences associated with CSOs. As outer layer organizational (Schein, 1985), artifacts can give further insight into participant experiences. The purpose this study is examine members’ perceptions in local figure skating club. We used Martin’s (1992, 2002) three perspectives illuminate integrated, differentiated, fragmented Club’s culture. Eight skaters seven adults from midsize club Canada participated photo-elicited interviews. found integration participants’ discussion unique facility, differentiated achievement-oriented artifacts, skaters’ dressing rooms. Our research demonstrates importance examining meanings organizations.
