ABSTRACT
The purpose of the current study was to examine student and teacher physical activity-related behavior using theory planned self-efficacy theory. Although teachers reported an overwhelmingly positive attitude toward teaching activity lessons promote fitness development, they only devoted 4% their class time actually demonstrating promoting fitness. Students were quite sedentary during spending 61% sitting, standing or lying down. Using hierarchical regression analyses, teachers’ attitudes physically active education classes accounted for 50% variance in intention. Teachers who demonstrated/promoted limited general instruction management students more likely have involved moderate vigorous than spent less demonstrating/promoting management.
