ABSTRACT
Correct notochord and neural tube (NT) formation is crucial to the development of central nervous system midline structures. Integrated biochemical biophysical signaling controls embryonic growth patterning; however, underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. Here, we took opportunities marked morphological changes during NT identified both necessary sufficient roles Yap, a key mechanosensor mechanotransducer, in activation floor plate, ventral centers that pattern dorsal-ventral axis surrounding tissues. We showed Yap by gradient mechanical stress tissue stiffness induces
