ABSTRACT
Monodisperse samples of silver nanocubes were synthesized in large quantities by reducing nitrate with ethylene glycol the presence poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP). These cubes single crystals and characterized a slightly truncated shape bounded [100], [110], [111] facets. The PVP its molar ratio (in terms repeating unit) relative to both played important roles determining geometric size product. could serve as sacrificial templates generate single-crystalline nanoboxes gold: hollow polyhedra six [100] eight Controlling size, shape, structure metal nanoparticles is technologically because strong correlation between these parameters optical, electrical, catalytic properties.
