ABSTRACT
Virus-specific CD4 + T helper lymphocytes are critical to the maintenance of effective immunity in a number chronic viral infections, but characteristically undetectable human immunodeficiency virus–type 1 (HIV-1) infection. In individuals who control viremia absence antiviral therapy, polyclonal, persistent, and vigorous HIV-1–specific cell proliferative responses were present, resulting elaboration interferon-γ β chemokines. persons with infection, p24 inversely related load. Strong also detected following treatment acutely infected potent therapy. The cells likely be important immunotherapeutic interventions vaccine development.
