ABSTRACT
Spheres coated with antibodies specific for myosin were used to detect myocardial cell membrane disruption by scanning electron microscopy. Injury in a population of cultured myocytes was then followed and measured fluorescence-activated sorting. This approach provides unique method quantitating the evolution injury potentially assessing efficacy interventions aimed at protection.
