ABSTRACT
The probiotic potential of 47 selected strains Lactobacillus spp. was investigated. were examined for resistance to pH 2.5 and 0.3% oxgall, adhesion Caco-2 cells, antimicrobial activities against enteric pathogenic bacteria in model systems. From the results obtained vitro, five strains, rhamnosus 19070-2, L. reuteri DSM 12246, LGG, delbrueckii subsp. lactis CHCC 2329, casei alactus 3137, vivo studies. daily consumption by 12 healthy volunteers two doses 10(10) freeze-dried 18 days followed a washout period 17 days. Fecal samples taken at 0 during 5 11. isolates initially identified API 50CHL internal transcribed spacer PCR, their identities confirmed restriction enzyme analysis combination with pulsed-field gel electrophoresis. Among tested LGG most frequently fecal samples; they found 10, 8, 7 intervention period, respectively, whereas reisolations less frequent period. reisolated concentrations from 10(5) 10(8) cells/g feces. Survival reisolation appeared be linked tolerance, adhesion, properties vitro.
