ABSTRACT
We have identified in a skin swab sample from healthy donor new virus that we named human gyrovirus (HGyV) because of its similarity to the chicken anemia (CAV), only previously known member Gyrovirus genus. In particular, this encodes homolog CAV apoptin, protein selectively induces apoptosis cancer cells. By PCR screening, HGyV was found 5 115 other nonlesional specimens but 0 92 bronchoalveolar lavages or nasopharyngeal aspirates and fecal samples.
