ABSTRACT
The alpha phenol-soluble modulins (αPSMs) are among the most potent toxins produced by Staphylococcus aureus . Their biological role during infection has been studied in detail; however, way they bacterial cell is not well understood. In this work, we identify a small RNA molecule called Teg41 that plays an important αPSM production S. positively influences production. importance of highlighted fact strain containing deletion 3′ end produces significantly less αPSMs and attenuated for virulence mouse abscess model infection. As search new therapeutic strategies to combat proceeds, may represent novel target.
