ABSTRACT
Dissolved organic matter (DOM) serves as a major carbon and nutrient pool in oceans, recalcitrant DOM are the primary sources for sequestration depths. Here, we demonstrate critical roles of algae-associated microorganisms (mainly heterotrophic bacteria) transformation dissolved through laboratory cultures model diatom, Skeletonema dohrnii .
