ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT Porcine deltacoronavirus (PDCoV) is a newly identified enteric coronavirus that causes serious diarrhea and vomiting in pigs, leading to substantial economic losses globally. Studying the molecular interactions between virus host proteins crucial for developing new anti-PDCoV strategies. Here, role mechanism of lactate dehydrogenase B (LDHB) PDCoV replication were investigated. LDHB suppresses dose-dependent manner, whereas knockdown via RNA interference enhances proliferation LLC-PK1 cells. Mechanistically, directly interacts with N protein cytoplasm. mediated autophagic degradation protein, thereby inhibiting viral replication. To our interests, infection or expression significantly reduces Further studies showed dependent on its LIR motif, binds LC3. It facilitates degradation, possibly as strategy evasion from cell cytosolic defense mechanisms. Overall, present study provided novel regulatory suggested avenues antiviral strategy. IMPORTANCE This elucidates intricate interaction within context immune By demonstrating can suppress through involving research highlights potential targeting such The findings not only expand understanding how manipulates pathways advantage but also open up therapeutic interventions could mitigate impact this similar pathogens.
