Two variants of performing the sodium-thermal reduction of potassium heptafluorotantalate in melt are considered. The key parameters affecting morphological and particle-size characteristics of powder are determined, and the basic methods of modification of the properties of the initial sodium-thermal tantalum powder are presented.
