ABSTRACT
Growth of 79 children with diabetes was analysed at diagnosis and again after one to 10.7 years treatment insulin. Both sexes were tall onset, whereas the last observation boys alone showed significant growth retardation. Height standard deviation score (SDS), however, no fall either in 32 subjects reassessed five disease or 18 examined full stature. Skeletal maturity not significantly impaired treatment. Pubertal spurt reduced, especially girls onset around puberty. We found correlation between height velocity SDS glycosylated haemoglobin values secretion hormone during arginine test. Somatomedin C correlated prepubertal boys. The results this study suggest that there are interferences but they do seem have a influence on adult height.
