ABSTRACT
Background: The European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) recommends using ultrasound (US) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic diagnosis (1). In addition, US examination is crucial for detecting enthesitis the above mentioned rheumatic diseases. However, abnormal findings on may also occur healthy individuals as indicated by recent studies focusing small joints like metacarpophalangeal joint, metatarsophalangeal joint or elbow.
