ABSTRACT
In the use of anti-inflammatory compounds, sustained serum levels are thought to be related drug efficacy. This study shows that frequent clinical administration indomethacin can result in and food antacid may have important modifying effects on concentrations. After oral ingestion by fasting subjects, rapidly appeared serum, usually reaching peak concentrations 30 90 minutes. Food delayed decreased mean level; slightly enhanced subsequent With multiple dose schedules plateau were reached after 24 hours. When a total daily 150 mg was given as 25 every 4 hours same but fluctuations smaller average higher than with dosage 50 8
