ABSTRACT
<h3>Background</h3> Few studies have examined the impact of weight change in different periods lifetime on type 2 diabetes risk, and association loss with is unclear. We prospectively investigated since age 20 y that during middle-to-late adulthood incidence diabetes. <h3>Methods</h3> Subjects were 52 014 men women aged 45–75 who participated Japan Public Health Center-Based Prospective Study had no history ORs self-reported physician-diagnosed for between baseline survey (mean 50.6 y) 5 second surveys estimated using logistic regression analysis. <h3>Results</h3> During 5-year period following survey, 989 newly diagnosed cases self-reported.
