ABSTRACT
Four cases of a polyneuropathy associated with pancreatitis and pancreatic pseudocyst formation are reported. Electrophysiological investigation showed the peripheral neuropathy to be predominantly axonal in type. These patients were all seriously ill many factors may have been involved pathogenesis their neuropathy. They had received parenteral nutrition multiple drug therapy including metronidazole, severe sepsis. There was evidence that insufficient vitamin replacement given during total nutrition. It not possible decide whether resulted from summation these factors, is similar what has called critically ill, or new association disease.
